This was our first overseas conference together, so we were both very excited to be heading to Christ Church, New Zealand. 

We made the most of our time there with some R&R.  We travelled around the South Island, stopping at Lake Tekapo, Queenstown, Arrow Town, Cresswell, and Timaru, and spent the rest of our time in Christchurch.

 Pastors David and Denise Cooper hosted the Leaders Network International Conference at Empower Church in Christchurch. The church, which was fully renovated after the earthquake, is magnificent.

The conference took place from Thursday evening to Saturday morning. Pastor John Herbert experienced a mild heart attack while travelling from Perth to New Zealand, resulting in a three-day hospital stay. He was cleared to fly home on Saturday. Praise God. Pastor John Cairns could attend the Conference, which was a miracle considering he has struggled with health issues for some time.

During the conference, we heard from several New Zealand Pastors, led by Andrew Simkin, David Cooper, Denise Cooper, and Scott Bell.  We were led by fantastic worship, which ushered in the presence of God; the team delivered impactful teachings that led to powerful encounters with the Holy Spirit. It was a wonderful time meeting wonderful people and forming new friendships.

I had the opportunity to share at Empower Church on Sunday morning. Pastor John Cairns opened by greeting everyone and sharing his love for the people at Empower Church. John has been visiting David and Denise for many years.  We were moved as he shared his heart with all of them.

We had a powerful Holy Spirit time, many encounters with Jesus and people impacted by the power of the Holy Spirit; at the very end of prayer 3, men were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues. Wow, wow, such a fantastic time with Jesus pouring His Love out on all those who came for prayer. After the service, we enjoyed time at Pastor David and Pastor Denis's house, joined by some of their leaders and Pastors Mark and Wendy Hapgood.  Empower congregation members blessed us with crayfish, roast lamb and delicious salads.  What a blessing.  For the next few days, Anita enjoyed travelling to Christchurch. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time in New Zealand and look forward to returning whenever possible.
